1. India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have entered into a tripartite agreement on maritime cooperation to secure sea routes in the Indian Ocean region. 
2. In a bid to boost manufacturing and exports, the government has decided to take series of measures. These include enhancing steel production capacity to 300 million tonnes and raise textile exports by 30 per cent this year.
3. Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has tightened the exposure norms for currency derivatives to check large scale speculations in the market.
4. The probe into the multiple blasts in Bodhgaya, Bihar, will be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
5. Centre has said that it is fully prepared to meet obligations under food security ordinance, and called on states to complete identification of beneficiaries within six months.
6. India and Iraq are set to enhance co-operation in energy security, bilateral trade commerce the infrastructure development among others. An agreement to this effect was signed by the Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily with his Iraqi counterpart Abdul Karim Luaibi in Baghdad yesterday.
7. Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily has said that efforts are on to ensure that the four nation TAPI or the Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan , India gas pipeline project is completed by 2017.
8. In Egypt, the interim President Adly Mansor has issued a constitutional declaration regarding the political roadmap of the country.
9. The Ministry of Commerce and Industries has decided to include 158 products under Focus Product Scheme (FPS). The products under the scheme will be eligible for incentive at 2 percent of the Freight On Board value of exports.
